A discovery flight is your first real flight lesson. You’ll sit in the left seat of our Vashon Ranger R7, take the controls in the air with a certificated flight instructor beside you, and log the time in your very first logbook — every minute counts toward your pilot certificate.

How it works

  • 1. Book it. Purchase online, or call (860) 287-0971 (Mon–Fri, 8 AM–5 PM) to purchase over the phone.
  • 2. Schedule it. After an online purchase, we’ll connect by phone to pick a time and answer your questions.
  • 3. Fly. Preflight briefing, 30–40 minutes at the controls, then a debrief and your first logbook entry.
